Suber

Continuing my research into cork and its possibilities, the Suber stool honours the typological form of a stool but is made from soft, warm and tactile material to give a product that is both familiar and inviting. The name comes from Quercus Suber (the cork oak), which is endemic to southwest Europe.

Part of my long standing love for cork is its environmental properties. It’s harvested every nine years without the tree being cut down making it highly sustainable and renewable. - Prototype.
