Looking at how people live and work, I wanted to create something that could help accommodate for that in-between area. So the idea was to make an area that sat somewhere between a table and an arm. Soft enough to lean into and be comfortable, but firm enough to have a laptop, tablet or sketchpad to work on.

The frame is made from tubular steel, European hardwood and plywood. Upholstered in a mix of natural materials, with arm covers in needled wool, the back and seat use rubberised hair and needled wool.
Suitable for domestic, office and crossover spaces, the Dover sofa is a visually and physically light design, with good proportion and a well resolved sitting position.
